We understand the sensitive and sometimes embarrassing nature of these problems and offer individualized one-to-one assessment in a private discreet and relaxed environment.
Common Conditions we treat
- Pelvic organ prolapsed
- Stress urinary incontinence- It is leaking the small amounts of urine during activities that increase pressure inside the abdomen and push down on the bladder. SUI is most common with activities such as coughing, sneezing, laughing, walking, lifting, or playing sports
- Overactive bladder
- Rehabilitation following pelvic floor surgery/hysterectomy
- Pelvic floor heaviness/pain, reduced sexual sensation
- Increased urgency
- Increased frequency
Treatment Methods
- Pelvic floor muscle re-education
- Abdominal exercises
- Post-operative advice
- General exercise/ safe exercise advice to help you regain your
previous level of fitness following surgery - Bladder training through EMG biofeedback
- Pelvic floor exerciser
- Core muscle activation
- Pelvic floor muscle re-education, internal and external trigger point management,
soft tissue release for adhesions, stretching exercises, postural exercises to
assist with elongation of the spine and de-creasing tension at the abdomen,
spinal mobilizations and nerve glides.
Laser therapy
Laser Therapy works by creating a concentrated beam of light radiation onto the
area that requires treatment. This promotes healing of the targeted tissue as well
as reducing pain, inflammation and swelling. Laser therapy can be used used for
skin conditions and soft tissue injuries and to heal open wounds. Laser therapy is
generally used in the treatment of inflammatory problems like tendonitis or acute
ligament sprain such as ankle or groin strain. It can also help in the physical break
down of thickened scar tissue after an operation.
EMG Biofeedback
- Biofeedback uses a computer that records your muscle activity, the muscle contraction, relaxation, and strength. It produces computer-generated graphs that are displayed on a monitor.
- Biofeedback also helps you find your muscles by showing changes when you squeeze or tighten the right muscle which otherwise we don’t really know about it.
- The patients immediately comes to know about when contracting the correct set of muscles.
- It helps to promote the healing and reeducate the injured/weak muscles.
- It provides targeted strength and endurance training
- Stroke , spinal cord injury, post fracture, sports injuries , incontinence training, bladder and bowel training and many more inactions where biofeedback gives miraculous results.
